The Album Surfboards 7'11" Kookalog is all about fun in any condition. A soft top surfboard that still exudes the cool of Matt Parker's hand shaped creations. Constructed from 100% recyclable materials, though hopefully it will last a lifetime. Pick these up when the conditions are smaller (as we do), as a second board or ideal for starting out on if you want something with greater refinement and performance than the run of the mill soft top. Think of the Kookalog as operating somewhere between a soft board and a standard PU board, their construction allows them to carry the bottom counters and rockers of the hand shaped surfboard models from Album.
Their grippy deck means they can be used without wax, in turn making them a great choice for transporting in cars without the mess. The Album Kookalog also comes with fins included. You can ride as a pure single for that classic vibe and trim, while adding the side bites will add hold and drive. Album even suggest riding finless for the more adventurous, drop low and experiment with spin (think Derek Hynd at J-Bay).
A nice extra touch comes from the inset, mid deck handle which allows easier carrying for those who find it difficult to stretch their arm around the width of a longboard.
