It took the brand Patagonia to come from outside of the surf industry and give it the wake up call it needed. Identifying the need for sustainably designed and responsibly manufactured technical gear, apparel, luggage, accessories and in particular wetsuits. Now the surf industry as a whole is taking a journey towards these ends, but Patagonia was the catalyst. The brand continues to be at the forefront of environmentally conscious production, sustainable material exploration, grass roots activism and labour practices. Not only this but with it's redoubtable roots in the outdoors through it's legendary founder, Yvon Chouinard, investment in employees and brand ambassadors...we love Patagonia.
